Pescador, the latest concept from award-winning Chefs Bruce and Eric Bromberg and the Blue Ribbon Restaurants team, is now open in the heart of Boston’s Kenmore Square neighborhood. Located at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Kenmore Street, Pescador features fresh seafood caught in local New England waters and is inspired by the Brombergs’ favorite international coastal cuisines. The newest concept from Blue Ribbon Restaurants, Pescador opens almost exactly 30 years after the critically acclaimed restaurant group’s first restaurant opening in November 1992.

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with Sunday service on the horizon, Pescador is a lively dining and drinking destination at the doorstep of Hotel Commonwealth, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows casting natural light across the 195-seat dining room; an 18-seat ceviche bar; and a 30-foot cocktail bar serving over 70 mezcals and tequilas from Mexico’s most celebrated spirits producers alongside beer, wine, and bespoke cocktails.
Following its triumphant Blue Ribbon Sushi opening this summer, Blue Ribbon Restaurants continues to lead the transformation of Kenmore Square, support local purveyors, and employ local staff and management. With 30 years spent building world-class yet accessible dining concepts across the United States, Chefs and Owners Bruce and Eric Bromberg (James Beard Award Finalists, “Best Restaurateurs”) continue to dream up new ways to celebrate their favorite international cuisines, with Pescador serving as the latest foray into worldly cuisine.

Drawing inspiration from the Brombergs’ favorite international coastal cuisines, ranging from Andalusia to Argentina, and a celebration of New England’s fresh catches, Pescador’s menu features a range of starters like Corn “Ribs” with Ancho, cotija, and lime, and Octopus & Chorizo alongside aguachiles, crudo, paella, pizza, and signature seafood dishes. Favorites include Lupe’s Shrimp Aguachile with fresh lime, cucumber, cilantro, and Jalapeno; Red Snapper a la Plancha served with Sauce Vierge; Spanish Octopus with Adobo aioli, salsa verde and roast tomato; and a Seafood Paella with Cockles, lump crab, linguica, and saffron. The dinner menu is accompanied by a full bar program with over 70 mezcals and tequilas (many rare selections available only at Pescador), and traditional spirits such as raicilla and sotol, along with local beer, wine, and specialty cocktails, including a customizable Paloma.

With 195 seats, Pescador was designed by longtime collaborators at Guzy Architects and is a lively, expansive space that transports guests to relaxed, coastal beach towns with pops of blue, pink, and orange. The warm, glowing lights from Pescador’s high, vaulted ceilings bathe the space in hues of pink and orange, evoking a warm, tropical sunset at the beach, and the layout of the space itself—from the ceviche bar and communal tables to the cozy banquettes—offers the perfect setting for either intimate dining or celebrating with a group.
