The Jersey Tomato Co. Announces Tom Colicchio as Face of the Brand

The Jersey Tomato Co. announces official brand partnership with renowned chef and notable ‘Top Chef’ Head Judge Tom Colicchio. The New Jersey native joins the JTC family for the brand’s 2020 relaunch, complete with new packaging for their signature 25oz sauce jars featuring Colicchio as well as the introduction of innovative 10oz sauce pouches. Tom Colicchio joins The Jersey Tomato Co. as an equity partner and will serve as both a brand ambassador and as a culinary consultant to drive innovation.

The tomato sauce line, under the umbrella of Keen Growth Capital, offers Jersey tomato-based products which emphasize vine-ripened, garden-fresh taste and naturally healthful attributes. Having entered the marketplace in 2010, the brand officially relaunches with Tom Colicchio as consultant and partner. Currently in over 1,400 retail stores nationwide, the following flavor profiles are currently available to consumers: Marinara, Tomato Basil, and Spicy.

Colicchio created three custom recipes utilizing the sauces to kick off the partnership. Seafood Cioppino which features the Spicy variety, Chicken Cacciatore which features the Marinara variety, and Vegetable Bolognese, utilizing the Tomato Basil flavor. The brand will unveil the new packaging officially at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA, the largest food product and organic product trade show of the year, on March 5th – 7th, 2020, with a special appearance by Colicchio on March 5th.

In addition to new package design for the 25oz jars, the brand will introduce innovative pouches to the marketplace. This new packaging concept is targeted to small households, a growing segment in the US. The 10oz pouch is just enough sauce for a meal for two, thereby cutting down on food waste.

The sauces are available featuring the new Colicchio labels beginning in mid-March, with placement at retailers including Sprouts, Shoprite, Fairway, and Harris Teeter, for $7.99 per jar.
