After finding none that measured up, she began to create a truly milk-style chocolaty coating reminiscent of something you’d see in a classic candy bar, and chose to utilize dates—AKA “nature’s candy” because they’re high in antioxidants, fiber, and important minerals like magnesium and potassium—which have a natural sweetness and gooey texture, making them the perfect alternative for a sugar-free, plant-based treat. The bars are also available in KeHE, UNFI, ShopRite, Fairway, Gourmet Garage, McCaffrey’s, PopUp Grocer, Better Health Markets, and direct-to-consumer.
