Great Performances Appoints Anthony Fassio as
New Executive Vice President
Leading Industry Professional and Slow Food NYC Chair Joins
New York City’s Premiere Catering Company

Fassio’s areas of expertise include sustainable and healthy foods as well as consumer food goods, restaurant and private catering, family agriculture, non-profit management, supply chain distribution, and food safety. With a background in business administration and operations management, his prior experience includes positions at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, Frito-Lay, Pepsi and Hot Bread Kitchen. Fassio has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, an MBA from Westminster College, where he was part of the business school honor society, and a Diplome de Cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, where he graduated second in his class with special recognition.

Fassio’s career began on his family’s fourth generation egg farm, where he learned firsthand about local farming and fostered a genuine understanding about what it means to produce wholesome food. After successfully converting his family’s farm from conventional to organic and cage-free, Fassio continued to pursue a career that would allow him to positively impact the food industry.

In his new role, Fassio will lend his corporate management and organizational skills across Great Performances’ robust portfolio by establishing new protocols and evolving the company’s hospitality culture. He will also collaborate with the team at Katchkie Farm, Great Performances’ own year-round NOFA-certified organic farm in Kinderhook, New York.
