Grand Reserve Rewards will partner with three wineries to co-host three individual virtual tasting events. The first co-hosted partner winery event on Thursday, Oct. 29, will be Discover Humboldt County Pinot Noir Virtual Tasting with Joseph Jewell Wines.

Oceano’s Single-Vineyard Wines from Spanish Springs

The first virtual tasting event to uncover the hidden wine gems produced from California’s Lost Coast. From a small garagiste operation, this incredible winery has morphed into one of Humboldt and Sonoma County’s leading Pinot Noir producers. Joseph Jewell began in 2006 with two barrels of wine. Today, they make roughly 15 percent of the total wine production from Humboldt County’s 150 acres of vineyards. The wines produced three 90-plus scores.

The 1-hour exclusive virtual tasting will be hosted by Adrian Jewell Manspeaker (owner/winemaker) and Chappy Cottrell (Certified Sommelier/Wine Enthusiast 40 under 40 Tastemaker). They will pair three bottles of 90+ point Joseph Jewell Pinot Noir wines with local Humboldt County cheese, all included in the Grand Reserve tasting kit.

“We’re excited to partner with Grand Reserve to share with wine enthusiasts the stunning wines from Humboldt County. It truly is an undiscovered gem of the wine world, one of the newer regions that will become recognized for producing world-class wines over the next few decades. We foresee the consistent 90+ point Pinot Noirs since 2008 to become further regarded yet remain accessible to the market,” says Cottrell, who also is the Director of Sales & Marketing for Joseph Jewell Wines.

Grand Reserve Rewards kicks off their first co-hosted partner winery event, Discover Humboldt County Pinot Noir Virtual Tasting with Joseph Jewell Wines, beginning at 4 p.m. Pacific Time/7 p.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 29. The public is invited to join. Click here for the event info, Zoom registration link, and tasting kit purchase kit.

The next event for Grand Reserve will be In Good Taste hosting a memorable pre-release tasting experience to celebrate the upcoming launch of their newest tasting flight: The United Grapes of America on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The United Grapes of America tasting flight promises to take the palate on a road trip across the U.S. This diverse portfolio of eight wines includes varietals from California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Arizona, Texas, and Virginia, all handpicked by their winemaker.

“We’ve been working hard to source a variety of wines for our new tasting flights. We’re extremely excited to partner with Grand Reserve and share them with their members,” says Head of Marketing for In Good Taste Solomon Reda.

With their (highly Instagram-worthy) gorgeous single-glass bottles, In Good Taste brings the tasting room experience to the home, patio, balcony, or park of all guests. Each wine in the tasting kit is unique, aiming for participants to experience new flavors and make new memories. In Good Taste seeks to share the stories of how wine is made in less traditional regions.

The third event for Grand Reserve members will be the Grand Reserve Rewards Virtual Tasting with Oceano’s Founder and Vintner Rachel Martin on Thursday, Nov. 11.

Guests can join Rachel as she takes participants through the history of her new wine project, Oceano Wines. Rachel founded Oceano in 2016 after her 15-year tenure at Boxwood Winery in Middleburg, Virginia. She led her family’s winery from inception to produce world-class wines while achieving international acclaim, and her new venture, Oceano Wines, is turning heads and receiving high praise. Experience Oceano’s three single-vineyard wines grown at Spanish Springs Vineyard, the closest vineyard to California’s ocean. All Oceano’s wines are made in Napa by veteran winemaker Marbue Marke.

“Being part of the Grand Rewards wine community is an innovative and exciting approach to introduce cardmembers to distinctive wineries like Oceano. Through this program, we are excited to connect with wine lovers around the world,” says owner Rachel Martin.

Oceano Wines is dedicated to making unique coastal wines, which display elegance, balance, freshness, and depth. Oceano is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBENC) and a corporate member of Women of the Vines & Spirits. Rachel is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International New York and Washington Chapters and was the first woman to be inducted into the District of Columbia chapter of the International Wine and Food Society.
