‘Largest Toys for Tot Drive in Fremont History’ to kickoff at tomorrow’s ribbon-cutting ceremony
Fresh on the heels of its popular and newly reopened restaurant in Santa Clara, Bennigan’s is preparing to bring its Legendary Irish hospitality and memorable dining experiences to the people of Fremont.
Located at 43968 Pacific Commons Blvd, the Fremont Bennigan’s will officially open for business tomorrow, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, Legendary Restaurant Brands Chairman & CEO Paul Mangiamele, JJM Foods CEO and Bennigan’s franchisee Narender Taneja and Managing Director Anshul Taneja will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m.
In the spirit of the season, Taneja has challenged residents and office workers in and around Fremont to come out in full force during opening week in an effort to break the city’s all-time record for most Toys for Tots donations. Every guest that brings a new, unwrapped toy to Bennigan’s between Dec. 9 and 16 will receive a coupon for a free World Famous Monte Cristo that may be used on a subsequent visit. (Coupon valid through January 31, 2016.)
“We can’t wait for everyone to come by and see this beautiful new Bennigan’s, which features our contemporary prototype design along with all the delicious food, drinks and friendly service you expect from Bennigan’s,” said Taneja, a 35-year hospitality industry veteran who is leading the iconic brand’s resurgence in the Golden State. “And to launch our Fremont restaurant in style, we’re inviting everyone to pitch in to our Toys for Tots drive to ensure that every child in the area has something special waiting under the tree this year. After all, the only thing better than a Bennigan’s Monte Cristo is a kid’s smile – and a FREE Bennigan’s Monte Cristo!”
The Fremont Bennigan’s features the chain’s newly introduced exterior design and signage prototypes, along with contemporary features such as upgraded furniture and flooring, two comfortable outdoor patio areas with a fire pit and heaters, 15, 60” flat screen televisions, 20 beers on tap and more than 20 signature cocktails.
“Narender and Anshul, a father and son, and their team did an extraordinary job on their Santa Clara restaurant and I think they’ve now outdone themselves in Fremont,” said Mangiamele. “At Bennigan’s, every day is St. Paddy’s Day, and that’s exactly what the good folks in Fremont can look forward to startingWednesday.”
Also scheduled to join in the grand opening festivities are Legendary Restaurant Brands Managing Director Gwen Mangiamele and Vice President of International Operations Shawn Finn.
