Francis Ford Coppola Winery announced today that their outdoor Winery Park will open on Friday, April 5 for the 2013 season.
This unique destination winery in Northern California’s Alexander Valley offers exciting activities for guests of all ages. The outdoor Winery Park includes a 3,600 square foot swimming pool, 28 private cabines (European-style personal changing rooms), a performing arts Pavilion, bocce courts and a seasonal, al fresco Pool Cafe. With over forty wines produced and available onsite, guests can tour the facility, visit Francis’s Movie Gallery and partake in various wine tasting experiences.
Initially the Winery Park will be open on weekends (Friday-Sunday) through May 19 and will then open daily beginning May 24 through September 29. Weekend hours will resume on October 4 with the season concluding on October 27. The park will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during days of operation.
SPRING: April 5 – May 19, Open Weekends (Friday – Sunday)
SUMMER: May 24 – September 29, Open Daily
FALL: October 4 – October 27, Open Weekends (Friday – Sunday)
Pool Cafe hours will also be extended this year. On Fridays and Saturdays, Pool Cafe will stay open until 8 p.m., offering an inviting location for a pre-dinner cocktail and appetizer.
New at the pool in 2013 are Premium Cabine Packages which include four pool passes and four lounge chairs with the choice to pre-select specific lounge chairs (similar to “choose your seat” on airline flight bookings). The package also includes towels, wine tasting flights, two souvenir water bottles, a bucket of four Sofia Mini sparkling wine cans chilled to perfection, complimentary juice boxes for kids and a current issue of Zoetrope: All-Story magazine. Premium packages are available for $180 per cabine or $135 for Wine Family members.
Customary Cabine Packages are being offered this year for $125 per cabine or $100 for Wine Family members and include four pool passes, four lounge chairs, towels, wine tasting flights and two souvenir water bottles.

Limited daily pool passes start at $20 per person for adults (ages 13+) and $10 for children (ages 3-12) and seniors (age 65+) with discounted rates for Wine Family members. Daily pool passes cannot be reserved in advance and are first come, first served, based on pool capacity and availability.
After spending time at the pool, guests can partake in wine tastings such as the popular Wine by the Fire experience available on Friday evenings. The prefect precursor to dinner at RUSTIC, Francis’s Favorites, guests can sip wine alongside a fire overlooking the vineyard.
As a destination with fun for all ages, let’s not forget activities for the kids. Available on Saturdays and Sundays, children can participate in the delicious Kids Smoothie Tasting, an interactive experience that allows children to guess the flavors of the fresh fruit they sample, just as an adult would do with wine.
