FOODWORKS Partners With The Mushroom Council in the Next Phase of Their First Annual Global Street Food Competition

WHO: FOODWORKS, a national restaurant incubator under Compass Group USA committed to shaping the future of dining through a local lens, is proud to partner with The Mushroom Council in celebration of National Mushroom Month and Mushroom Mondays for the next phase of the brand’s first annual Global Street Food Competition. The Mushroom Council represents mushroom producers and growers, providing marketing, promotion, education and research for consumers and the foodservice industry.

 

WHAT: FOODWORKS is thrilled to continue the national competition with The Mushroom Council from September 1 – November 30, 2024, celebrating flavor innovation, diversity, and plant-forward cuisine among FOODWORKS culinary partners nationwide.

 

WHEN: The Mushroom Council Competition Period: September 1 – November 30, 2024,

 

DETAILS: The National Recipe Contest, exclusively available to FOODWORKS partners, features a special focus on cultivated mushrooms this fall, including white button, crimini, portabella, shiitake, trumpet, oyster, maitake and lion’s main. Participating partners will craft and present plant-forward recipes that showcase the deliciousness, versatility and unique qualities of cultivated mushrooms.

 

PRIZES:

  • First Place: $2,500 cash prize and entry into the running for the grand champion prize – (2) passes to CIA Menus of Change, courtesy of FOODWORKS.
  • Second Place: $1,500 cash prize.
  • Third Place: $500 cash prize.
  • Fourth Place: $500 cash prize.
