TooJay’s Restaurant and Deli is pleased to announce that it has named Jim Vinz as its new chief executive officer. Vinz will oversee the expansion and evolution of the West Palm Beach-based company, which just opened its 26th location Monday in Lakeland, Fl.
However, Vinz says his focus also is on maintaining the unique high-quality food and full-service dining experience that has made TooJay’s a neighborhood destination for more than three decades.
“TooJay’s distinguished history of producing a superior value dining experience for the entire family has paved the way for a bright future, and I have the pleasure of becoming a part of it,” says Vinz, who has more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. “I look forward to helping the team prepare for growth and taking our unique dining concept to more communities around Florida and the country.”
Vinz was most recently the president and co-CEO of Le Duff America, where he was responsible for more than 650 cafes, bakeries and coffee shops in North America, including Bruegger’s Bagels, la Madeleine Country Fresh Café, Mimi’s Café and Brioche Dorée, among others. Vinz’s proven track record of building strong teams and growing brands will be essential as TooJay’s enters its next chapter of development.
Prior to joining Le Duff America, Vinz was president of Corner Bakery Café, where he led its development and growth from four bakeries in Chicago into a nationwide chain of more than 120 cafes. During his tenure, Corner Bakery was a three-time winner of the People Report’s “Best Practices” award in the fast casual segment and received the 2010 Heart of the Workplace award. Outside the office, Vinz is committed to battling childhood hunger by serving on the advisory board for Share Our Strength’s “Dine Out for No Kid Hungry” initiative. He has been on the board since 2008 and served as chairman from 2011-12.
