Fisher & Paykel is pleased to announce a new leadership appointment to its United States team. Sam Zalin joins the New Zealand-based brand as Vice President of Product Management, serving as a key partner to the US Leadership Team by driving product line performance and profitable growth across the US market with a focus on the brand’s brick-and-mortar retail partners, builder channel, and ecommerce retail partners. Zalin will lead the US Product Team, overseeing strategic product planning, price positioning, new product introductions, and portfolio optimization to ensure a market share increase in line with the brand’s strategic regional objectives.

Zalin joins Fisher & Paykel from Bing Lee Electrics, a leading Australian appliance and consumer electronics retailer, where he led the product merchandising and marketing teams. Zalin also brings additional merchandise and marketing experience from roles with E&S Appliances and Winning Appliances, both retailers in the kitchen, bath and laundry categories, as well as with global omnichannel retailers such as John Lewis and Sainsbury’s Supermarkets in the UK. Zalin has proven to be a seasoned product expert with a consistent track record of delivering strong sales and profit growth for brands over the last twenty years. Having visited the US market on multiple occasions, Zalin has witnessed Fisher & Paykel’s growth first-hand and looks forward to relocating with his family to the brand’s US headquarters in Costa Mesa, California.
