Finger Lakes Wine Alliance names new executive director
Tracey Dello Stritto joins the 29-member regional wine marketing alliance
Finger Lakes Wine Alliance, the leading marketing association for wines from the Finger Lakes region, announced today that it has named Tracey Dello Stritto as its new executive director. Dello Stritto will lead the organization’s efforts to increase awareness of Finger Lakes wines throughout the United States and the world.
“We are extremely confident in Tracey’s ability to expand the profile of Finger Lakes wines as our new executive director,” said Erica Paolicelli, partner at Three Brothers Wineries and Estates and board chair for the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance. “She has the credentials and experience needed to oversee the expansion of the alliance’s marketing efforts, and we look forward to everything she has in store for us.”
Most recently, Dello Stritto served as the communications and marketing manager at Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard. In that role, she was responsible for coordinating the vineyard’s marketing activities, working with fellow members of the wine trade as well as the media. As executive director of the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance, Dello Stritto will focus on communicating with a much wider audience of wine trade representatives and media to provide information on the wines produced by alliance members and promote the outstanding quality and value of all wines produced in the Finger Lakes region.
“I look forward to helping members of the Wine Alliance build their businesses through effective marketing to trade professionals and the media,” said Dello Stritto. “Wine Alliance members make such phenomenal wines and together we will see that the mission of the alliance, to increase the visibility and reputation of those wines, and the region as a whole, is achieved.”
Finger Lakes Wine Alliance offers its members a wide array of programs, including coordinating submissions to wine trade publications for reviews, presenting seminars on best practices in social media outreach and holding online events such as virtual wine tastings to build relationships with wine professionals located around the world.
Members of the alliance are also offered the opportunity to participate in special events designed to reach wine trade professionals, restaurateurs and members of the media in a more concentrated and personal way. Two recent examples of such events include the “Finger Lakes Riesling Camp” held in May 2016 and the “Riesling Rally” held this month at Three Brothers Winery in Geneva, N.Y. The rally was in celebration of upcoming “Riesling Month” in September, which will include a range of promotional events in the Finger Lakes region and New York City metro area.
