Fifth Annual Octoberfest at Bull City Burger and Brewery
Free Live Music on Parrish Street Supporting Durham’s Habitat for Humanity
Durham, NC August 20, 2015– The fifth annual Bull City Burger and Brewery Octoberfest Street Party benefiting Durham’s Habitat for Humanity, will be held on Saturday September 26th starting at 4PM until 11 PM at 107 East Parrish Street in downtown Durham. The event will feature an outdoor stage on Parrish Street with free live music including Bill West, The Lids and Daddy’s Alright.
“We’ll be dancing in the street with a variety of music from acoustic to modern electric jams and high energy vocals,” said BCBB owner, Seth Gross. “In keeping with our mission to be a part of the community, the show is for all ages and family-friendly plus it supports a great local cause,” explained Gross. There will be a kids play area and Balloon Man Mike will be twisting up balloons for children. “In our fifth year now, this event has really grown into a community day for Durham and the surrounding area. We love all the smiles and happy families joining us,” beamed Gross. BCBB releases their Octoberfest lager called “Stierstadt” (German for Bull City) for the event. The street festival will also feature the once-a-year special “German Fries” with a mustard and mushroom gravy sauce that people line up for every Octoberfest.
BCBB will be selling their 100% pasture raised beef burgers, house made veggie burgers, and will feature their authentic bratwurst for the event, all served on house baked buns. Their sister restaurant, Pompieri Pizza, will be serving handmade gelato. A portion of the Octoberfest proceeds will be donated to Durham’s Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity will also have a tent set up providing information about their program as well as fun activities for the kids. Oktoberfest in Germany starts in September and this year it begins September 19th and runs through October 4th.
