Puerto de Indias, the original strawberry gin, is pleased to announce the appointment of Elias Mitri to the position of Metro New York Sales Representative effective January 6, 2020. In this role, Elias will work with Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, Puerto de Indias New York distributor, to develop the brand in this critical growth market. Elias joins the U.S. based Puerto de Indias team directed by Mike Ginley, Puerto de Indias U.S. General Manager responsible for overseeing the expansion and growth of Puerto de Indias Strawberry and Puerto de Indias Black premium gins in the U.S.
Prior to joining the Puerto team, Elias worked for Taste Brands as the NY Sales Manager where he helped to successfully launch a range of medium-sized spirits and wine brands to the market. Before his tenure with Taste Brands, Elias was the Beverage Director for Milton’s Harlem and Area Manager for Russian Standard, Smirnoff, Jägermeister, Bombay and Bacardi. Mike Ginley noted, “Given his extensive experience in New York, Elias has a strong pulse on the market with solid account relationships that will enable him to hit the ground running and help us deliver our 2020 growth plans. We are thrilled he is joining the team as we plan for further growth and expansion throughout the U.S.”
