David Duffy Joins First Beverage Group
Los Angeles, CA – June 3, 2015 – First Beverage Group is pleased to announce that David Duffy, former founder of Colorado Craft Advisors, has joined the company as a director. Duffy will work with First Beverage’s investment banking group, First Beverage Financial, to provide consulting services to craft breweries.
Duffy has worked in all tiers of the beverage business. He began in the beverage industry by running on- and off-premise sales routes at a local Coca-Cola distributor and later worked as general manager of a beer distributor in Colorado. He has over 14 years of experience in field sales, sales management, and marketing with Boston Beer Company, New Belgium Brewing and Great Divide Brewing Company.
In 2012, Duffy founded Colorado Craft Advisors, a beverage-focused consultancy focusing on sales and marketing solutions for suppliers and distributors and specializing in growth strategies and systems for emerging and mature companies. He has completed projects for multiple breweries, distributors, and investors covering portfolio architecture, pricing, branding, sales team development, expansion, market development, training and due diligence. He has direct experience working with over 20 breweries and over 100 distributors in more than 40 states, as well as with international companies.
Duffy graduated from The University of Richmond with a Bachelor in Business Administration and earned his MBA from The College of William and Mary. He currently is an advisory board member of the Beverage Business Institute at Colorado State University and is an industry leadership council and affiliate faculty member at Metropolitan State University in Denver.
