Prime 809 has opened at Daniel’s Broiler-Lake Union. Much like its sister lounge, Prime 21, in Daniel’s Broiler-Bellevue, Prime 809 offers a large selection of classic cocktails and hand-selected bourbons in an upscale, sophisticated destination for guests on the Westside.
Prime 809 provides guests an ambiance of a modern-day speakeasy. More than 50 bourbons and 40 scotches line the glass shelves, including Balvenie PortWood, E.H. Taylor Small Batch and Glenfiddich 18-year-old scotch whiskey. Each barrel of house bourbon is hand-selected in Kentucky by President and CEO Lindsey Schwartz and Spirits Director Brad Miller.
“We’ve seen Prime 21 develop into a Bellevue hot spot and wanted to offer our guests at Lake Union a similar experience,” said Schwartz. “The combination of a classic cocktail and a prime steak on Lake Union is unmatched.”
Prime 809 Lounge also offers a variety of classic cocktails and Champagnes including Bollinger Grand Annee 1999 and Louis Roederer Cristal 2004. Local and familiar vodka, tequila, rum and gin are also available, as well as small plates and appetizers from the bar kitchen, ranging from specialty bar menu items such as Salmon Cakes, Bourbon Barbeque Pork Sliders and Prime Steakhouse Sliders, to classic menu items of Barbeque Prawns, Seared Ahi Tuna and Prime Filet Mignon Steak Strips.
Prime 809 was designed by Mesher Shing McNutt, who also designed Prime 21. The room’s dark wood and onyx backdrop give the room sophistication and elegance with metal curtains that allow privacy for various group sizes, sitting up to 40 people.
