CONMIGO NYC APPOINTS JOHN CULLEN AS NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF

Conmigo, an authentic Mexican restaurant on the Upper East Side with two locations in Yorkville (87th & 1st) and Carnegie Hill (98th & Madison), announces today the appointment of John Cullen as Executive Chef.

 

In this role, Executive Chef John Cullen will introduce a refreshed menu, as well as be responsible for kitchen management, ingredient selection, recipe development and more. With 18 years of culinary experience, John Cullen is an accomplished Executive Chef with a passion for Mexican cuisine. He began learning the art of cooking from his parents, who instilled a deep appreciation for home cooking and family meals. Known for blending classic recipes with modern techniques, He creates a signature dining experience that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Mexico. A transformative trip to Puebla, Mexico with his wife who was born and raised there further enriched his expertise, allowing him to immerse himself in local cooking methods and regional ingredients.

 

Serving a modern, yet colorful atmosphere and a refined menu helmed by Executive Chef John Cullen, Conmigo offers authentic Mexican fare and spirit-forward cocktails. Offering authentic Mexican fare with a modern twist, Conmigo’s new menu under Executive Chef John Cullen, will consist of an array of chips and dips, appetizers, tacos, sandwiches entrees and sides. Highlights will include the Smoked Street Corn, Seasonal Ceviches, Red Snapper Taco, Chicken Enmolado, Taco Arabe and more.

 

When not in the kitchen, John enjoys cooking for his large family and finds joy in bringing loved ones together over delicious meals. Passionate about fostering a culture of creativity and excellence in the kitchen, he is dedicated to inspiring teams and delighting guests with every dish.
