The late winter release coincides with a larger push by Epicurex to expand COCOZIA’s growing retail market
Epicurex LLC has joined forces with Sedano’s Supermarkets to retail its popular coconut water beverage, COCOZIA. Sedano’s Supermarkets will sell COCOZIA at its thirty four Florida-based stores, and is expected to carry the entire COCOZIA lineup, including coffee, pineapple, mango and chocolate flavors in addition to the original.
Sedano’s Supermarkets, which is largely focused in Miami-Dade county and Ft. Lauderdale, is the number one Hispanic retailer in the nation and the largest member of the Associated Grocers of Florida. The company has established a successful working relationship with Roma Food Group to distribute its products throughout its stores. Epicurex will also be using Roma Food’s distribution network exclusively to move COCOZIA to Sedano’s retail destinations.
The joint efforts of Sedano’s Supermarkets and Roma Foods will provide COCOZIA with retail space outside of the specialty food market. With coconut water sales exploding throughout the U.S. and Europe, it’s a good time for COCOZIA as it makes appearances across larger and more well-known retail outlets.
Epicurex began selling COCOZIA in early 2013, where it was marketed as an Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified and Kosher coconut water. Coconut water has long been known for its hydrating qualities. It is rich in potassium and magnesium, making it a good choice to replenish the body’s electrolyte content and unlike other sport’s drinks, it does not contain any additives.
