Chef-driven churrascaria marks a decade of hospitality with the addition of fresh cocktails featuring local and global spirits
This year, ZED451 proudly marks 10 years in Chicago – one of the nation’s most competitive restaurant markets.
The Brazilian steakhouse, known for its scratch-made dishes and inventive cocktails, encompasses 18,000 square feet in the heart of the city’s River North neighborhood. In an area replete with some of best dining options in Chicago, ZED451 remains a go-to destination for those seeking a globally inspired, chef-driven culinary experience – be it a dinner for two, a lively evening of libations with friends, or sophisticated gatherings for up to 800 guests.
“It is exciting to celebrate a decade of ZED451 as part of Tavistock Restaurant Collection, particularly in one of the country’s most dynamic restaurant cities,” said Tiffany Sweet, area director at Tavistock Restaurant Collection. “We have watched Chicago’s restaurant community grow and evolve over the past decade and are proud to continue bringing unwavering hospitality and Brazilian-style service to locals and visitors who return time and time again.”
To mark the milestone, ZED451 has expanded its craft cocktail menu to include exclusive signature drinks that highlight the restaurant’s dedication to global flavors and local purveyors. Honoring its tradition of serving South American classics with a modern American twist, three variations of the Brazilian caipirinha, the country’s national cocktail, have been added to the menu. The beloved Latin beverage, made with LeBlon Cachaça, will be offered to guests visiting the restaurant throughout winter.
With a nod to its hometown, ZED451’s mixologists drew inspiration from local Chicago distillery KOVAL to create three additional celebratory cocktails utilizing the company’s vodka, gin and whiskey.
The updated cocktail menu will be unveiled at the restaurant during a KOVAL pairing dinner, which will also serve to commemorate the restaurant’s anniversary, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30. The event will showcase uniquely curated dishes by Executive Chef Andrea Williams with each course created to complement the flavors of the featured KOVAL cocktails.
“We truly value our place in the community and are proud to have a longstanding presence in Chicago’s famed dining district,” said Carlos Chaves, general manager at ZED451. “Through our involvement in local events – such as Restaurant Week – and our ability to forge new partnerships with Chicago-based, like-minded companies such as KOVAL, we aim to welcome and engage diners for another 10 years.”
