Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street Promotes Eco-Friendly Practices Year-Round

Located on the Jupiter Inlet, Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street has an ocean-first mentality. Not only does the team at Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street participate in regular beach cleanups, they support 4ocean’s mission to end the ocean plastics crisis. The Tacklebox sells 4ocean bracelets that come with the promise to pull 1 pound of trash from the oceans, rivers, and coastlines for every sale.

“We started the beach cleanups before we even opened. In the first three months, we removed more than 180 gallons of trash and debris from the beach,” said Liz Soulen, director of operations at Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street. “We are part of the community and we want to do our part to protect our local waters.”

Lessing’s Hospitality Group, which manages Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street and the Pelican Club, established a company-wide #dogood initiative, which includes using locally sourced products, supporting food banks, participating in clean ocean programs, and prohibiting the use of plastic straws. Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street endorses the approach using 100% compostable straws made from corn at all four venues.
