Tequila is rapidly growing with no signs of stopping! With more than 45 million tequila drinkers, the U.S. consumes twice as much tequila as the liquid’s country of origin, Mexico.
Casa Sauza is a great example of a distillery that is leading the category and is the force behind brands like Sauza Tequila, Sauza 901 and Hornitos.
Some fun facts about the Casa Sauza heritage:
- Casa Sauza produces all its tequila in the same location it’s been using since 1873.
- Agave plants at Casa Sauza are still harvested by hand by Jimadores. There is no school for Jimadores; it’s a skill that gets passed down from generation to generation.
- Casa Sauza is one of the only major tequila producers to use agave in its raw form – pressing the piñas and then cooking the juice instead of cooking the entire piña.
Pay homage to the spirit by mixing up a cocktail of your own with the help of Sauza Tequila, the world’s #2 premium tequila and margarita’s favorite tequila!
