Chefs to the Max hosted ‘Sunday Supper’ yesterday evening at Carson Kitchen to benefit Max Jacobson, a popular local food critic from Vegas Seven who was critically injured last December. Friends, family and colleagues from across the country gathered for the mini-dine around to welcome Jacobson home and raise money for his continued physical therapy.
Jacobson was in attendance and in good spirits, chatting with friends and enjoying Carson Kitchen’s spacious outdoor patio. Notable guests included “Rock n’ Roll Chef” and Carson Kitchen co-founder, Kerry Simon; George J. Maloof Jr.; and Robin Leach. ‘Sunday Supper’ raised more than $22,000 for Jacobson’s recovery.
Party-goers celebrated Jacobson’s homecoming while enjoying drinks and specialty dishes created by some of Las Vegas’ finest off-Strip chefs, including: Matt Andrews of Carson Kitchen, Vic “Vegas” Moea of Café V, Luciano Pellegrini and Jose Aleman of Marche Bacchus French Bistro and Wine Shop, Ming See Woo of Fu Asian Kitchen, Paloma Cuellar of La Comida, Chris Palmeri of Naked City Pizza, Todd Harrington of Downtown Grand Las Vegas, and Dalton Wilson of DW Bistro. Commonwealth provided signature cocktails for the event while O Face Doughnuts offered delectable desserts. The event was sponsored by Southern Wine & Spirits and US Foods.
