BOULART ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Company inks deal with Ralphs, marking new West Coast expansion for the industrial artisan bakery
October 2015 – Boulart Inc., North America’s first Non-GMO project verified industrial artisan bakery, has recently signed a deal with grocery store Ralphs to be sold in 89 of their Southern California stores, including locations in Orange County, San Diego, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
This deal ensures Boulart’s market penetration in Southern California, a key target for the brand given the region’s health-conscious consumer demographic. “Boulart is committed to constantly changing the game and so is Ralphs,” says Boulart Founder and President Michel Saillant. “It’s never been about conforming to industry standards, it’s about setting new ones. We are great partners because we share the same vision.”
Boulart announced its Non-GMO certification in April. Boulart’s certification was a first for artisanal brands in its category, a natural progression for the already clean label bakery. In mid-October, Boulart will begin a multi-month sampling campaign at select Ralphs stores in the Los Angeles market. The program aims to introduce new customers and brand intenders to the brand’s artisanal bread offerings.
