Anna Woodman Interior Design, South Florida’s premiere commercial interior design firm, has completed her redesign of one of Winter Park’s most popular eateries, The Ravenous Pig, by James Beard award-nominated owners and chefs Julie and James Petrakis of JP Restaurants.
The Ravenous Pig has become a fixture of the Orlando food scene, and guests can now enjoy their elevated American favorites with a Southern twist in a space inspired by the historic charm of Charleston, South Carolina.
The redesign, spearheaded by Anna Woodman, features a new, cohesive color palette of navy blue, merlot red and rich coppers with cream and gold accents, which provide warmth to the space and work with luxe upholsteries to deliver on the eclectic, Charleston-inspired vibe and elegant ambiance.
“The new design combines classic elements of The Ravenous Pig that fans of the restaurant know and love with new enhancements and exciting and unexpected additions that will entice diners before they even order their meals,” said Woodman. “I’m excited that guests will be fully immersed in a space that complements The Ravenous Pig’s elevated, Southern cuisine.”
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a custom art piece by Locol Arts and Mojo Metalworks which pays homage to the restaurant’s butcher cut specials by showcasing an artistic collection of chef’s knives. And more unique art awaits guests around every corner.
In the main dining room, guests dine in rich, leather booths underneath a curated, eclectic gallery wall with nods to the history of The Ravenous Pig, inviting guests to learn more about the now iconic restaurant’s origins in Central Florida. Custom carpeting, feather chandeliers and other art immerse diners in a unique and upscale dining experience as they explore the space.
The bar now features an eye-catching, newly released Cambria quartz countertop with brass alloy veining throughout the surface alongside a deep navy millwork package to make the space pop. And it’s all tied back to The Ravenous Pig imagery with custom icons on each of the bar’s taps.
Even the bathrooms received an update with bold, custom wallpaper and new, dark-wood finishes. And the private event and dining space’s new design evokes feelings of eating in an upscale, Southern kitchen.
The Ravenous Pig is located at 565 West Fairbanks Ave in Winter Park. The 5,600 square foot restaurant seats 118 people in both the main dining room and bar, with additional seating on the outside patio and picnic-style tables in the Beer Garden for a casual, outdoor experience with a bar-style food menu. There is also an indoor, private dining space that seats up to 24 guests.
Woodman’s previous work with JP Restaurants includes the original location of The Ravenous Pig on Orange Avenue in 2007, Cask & Larder Orlando in 2015, Cask & Larder Orlando International Airport in 2016 and The Polite Pig at Disney Springs in 2016.
