2019 is a special year at Boizel:
Evelyne and Christophe Roques-Boizel pass on the baton to their sons. Florent Roques-Boizel becomes Chairman and CEO of the House, alongside his brother Lionel, Deputy Managing Director.
Since its foundation 185 years ago, the House is passed from one generation to the next, always in a direct line from father or mother to son or daughter. Evelyne Roques-Boizel has chaired and passionately embodied Champagne Boizel for more than forty years. She has listed it among the most renowned Champagnes for the quality of its wines – with creations like the Cuvée sous Bois in 1990, the first Joyau de France Rosé in 2000, the Ultime in 2005. She made Boizel shine worldwide, especially in Japan since 1996.
Very recently, important investments have been made: renovation of the 19th century buildings along the prestigious Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, whose cellars and Houses are listed as World Heritage by UNESCO; installation of a “cellier à foudres” (large casks cellar) and stainless steel vats for small volumes; opening to oenotourism through guided tours of the cellars, tasting workshops and the creation of the shop “L’Atelier 1834”.

Florent Roques Boizel
38 years old
The holder of a degree in economics (Reims) and a Master in Management (Grenoble EM), Florent started his professional life abroad at a wine importer in New Zealand, then became export manager for the Maison M.Chapoutier in the Rhone Valley. He joined Maison Boizel in 2010 to take charge of the export, then relations with the winegrovers and general management.
Lionel Roques-Boizel
41 years old
With a bachelor’s degree in European Marketing in Leeds (GB) and a Master in International Business (EM Normandy), Lionel started in the food industry at Bonduelle. After he founded his own cleaning services company. Then he joined the wine world: first in France as sales manager for a Champagne House, next abroad at a wine importer and distributor in the United States. In 2011, he joined the family company in charge of french market and then Deputy Managing Director.
Boizel: A family story
Since its foundation in 1834 in Epernay by Auguste Boizel and his wife Julie Martin, Champagne Boizel is the work of the same family. Each generation has made its own contribution to the House, by creating new cuvées, innovating in the distribution, increasing international reputation …
Today the story goes on with Florent and Lionel Roques-Boizel, representing the sixth generation in direct line.
