Guests looking for an unexpected dining journey can now experience a unique setting just revealed at Rosewood Tucker’s Point. For over 40 years, an area near the main grounds of the property was overgrown but luckily it was recently rediscovered by accident. A stone pathway dating back to the original resort from the 1920’s was noticed and upon further exploration it was realized that the path led to a charming grotto area referred to as the “Coffee Chine” – complete with coffee trees and waterfall.
The talented team at Rosewood Tucker’s Point has now completely transformed the location into a very secluded and one-of-a-kind alfresco dining area available to reserve for private four-course dinners – suitable for either a romantic evening for two or an intimate dinner for four.
“The Coffee Chine is such a magical setting for our guests to have a completely extraordinary dining experience – and I’m sure it will be used for a quite a few marriage proposals as well,” says Duncan Graham, Managing Director. “I’m thrilled our clever team has been able to revive it so beautifully and create this special spot at Rosewood Tucker’s Point,” adds Graham.
As guests enjoy the surroundings during dinner, they overlook the newly cleared area where an orchard has been planted with a variety of fruit-producing trees while listening to the soothing sounds of the waterfall. A specially designed menu is prepared and served by the chef and his culinary team, which will periodically change based on what is seasonally available on the island.
The price of the “Coffee Chine” evening, including wine pairing, is $1395 per couple or $1995 for a party of four. Pricing is inclusive of tax and gratuity. Reservations should be made at least 48 hours in advance by calling the Concierge at 441.298.4040.
