FIRST OF ITS KIND: “COOKBOOK LENDING LIBRARY” BY NICE NICE BITE COMING SOON TO PALATE LAS VEGAS, IN THE ARTS DISTRICT, ON AUGUST 2

Palate, a newly opened restaurant serving modern Americana cuisine located in the heart of the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District, will be offering a new program, courtesy of Nice Nice Bite, the first cookbook lending library in America, founded by Chef Alicia Shevetone and curated by Dr. Nichole Beer. The cookbook lending library will be located in-restaurant, just behind the hostess stand. Through collections and donations, Nice Nice Bite will be featuring a variety of cookbooks from notable chefs and authors, diverse selection of cultural recipes, holiday and seasonal cookbooks and more to look forward to.

“Cookbooks are a luxury item for many people who may find it difficult to justify spending $50 – $100 for a book they’d like to read,” says Alicia Shevetone, Chef and Founder of Nice Nice Bite, “this cookbook library is designed to make culinary content more accessible to the community.”

Alicia Shevetone is a chef, author and television personality, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Creator of Dink Cuisine and Distilled Spices, she shares her recipes and culinary know-how across a variety of live lifestyle and news-related programs. Currently, Chef Alicia is filming the second season of her own show, Sin City Kitchen, Southern Nevada’s only locally produced culinary series. As the founder of America’s first cookbook lending library, Chef Alicia has inspired some of the country’s most decorated chefs to donate cookbooks and resources to the effort. Her easy-to-follow recipes are made with accessible ingredients and are masterfully presented to impress the most discriminating palates.

Shevetone’s partner in crime of Nice Nice Bite, Nichole Beer is a long time school librarian and community activist. In 2021, she started America’s first cookbook pop up in the Las Vegas Valley. Nice Nice Bite is a natural progression of the culinary, travel, community activism, family, and library journey she calls life.

Patrons who are interested in checking out cookbooks can find instructions on how to do so in Palate Las Vegas, located at 1301 South Main Street, Suite 110, Las Vegas, Nevada 89104, when it launches on August 2.
