How to melt mozzarella and cream cheese
Are you feeling hangry?
Scientists are discovering there’s a direct link between how hungry you are and your mood. The research proves that being, “hangry”, is a real thing. As blood glucose levels drop, your mood can drop too, even after you eat something.
If you’re on a keto diet, finding something to eat on the go can be tricky. That’s why we’ve created this guide to help you learn about the best snacks to eat on keto. So take a look and discover how to never be hungry again!
1. Keto Gas Station Snacks
You’re at the gas station filling up your tank when hunger strikes! What do you do? Go inside and grab a keto-friendly snack, gas stations are full of them.
Here’s a shortlist of keto foods gas stations carry:
- Cheese sticks
- Hot dogs
- Hard-boiled eggs
- Pickles
- Almonds
- Sunflower seeds
- Beef jerky
- Pork rinds
If you decide to get a hard-boiled egg from the gas station, don’t forget to grab a salt and pepper packet too.
2. Keto Flat Bread
If you’re a pizza lover, a keto-friendly flatbread could help satisfy your cravings. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- Salt and pepper
Start by putting the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in a bowl. Next, microwave the bowl for 30 seconds, stir the cheese, and repeat. When the cheese is melted all the way, let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
Once the cheese is cool, add in the beaten egg. If you add the egg in before the cheese is cool, you run the risk of accidentally scrambling the egg. After adding in the egg, put in all the other ingredients and start stirring.
Keep stirring the ingredients until everything’s evenly blended. You’ll need to preheat the oven to 350 °F and spray a large baking sheet with a nonstick spray.
Carefully pour the mixture onto the baking sheet. Next, press down the mixture. Finally, put the baking sheet in the oven for 15 minutes or until your dish is golden brown.
After the flatbread’s cooled, you can slice it up and eat it just like it is or you can add on a few toppings. For instance, if you love pepperoni, throw some pepperoni slices on top. You can also put a light layer of pasta sauce on top of your bread to make it feel even more like you’re eating pizza.
3. Caesar Salad Bites
Do you like Caesar salad? If yes, you’re going to go nuts for these Caesar salad bites. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- 2 hearts of romaine lettuce
- ⅔ cup of cold Caesar dressing
- ½ cucumber
- 1 cup of cherry tomatoes halved
- ¼ cup of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper
Start by separating the romaine hearts into 24 medium leaves. If you’re premaking the salad bites, use kale instead of romaine lettuce. Kale is a heartier plant so it’ll last longer than romaine lettuce will.
Next, add the dressing by spooning some onto each leaf’s center. You can then top the romaine leaves with chopped cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and fresh parsley. Finally, salt and pepper the leaves until they suit your taste buds.
4. Tiny Frittatas
If you like omelets or scrambled eggs, you’ll love the flavor combinations a frittata brings to the table.

Here’s what you’ll need to make tiny frittatas:
- 1 dozen eggs
- Spinach
- Tomatoes
- Cheese
- Spinach
- Muffin pan
- Mixing bowl
- An oven
Once you have everything you need, break the eggs into the mixing bowl and begin beating them. Next, use a hint of salt and pepper to help give the eggs some flavor.
Next, pour the egg mixture into the muffin cups. Once all of the muffin tins are full, you can begin adding in the low carb add-ons. Gently put your spinach, tomatoes, cheese, and mushrooms into the muffin tin with the egg mixture.
If you don’t like any of the low carb add-on ingredients, you can exclude them and still have a savory finished product. To cook the mini frittatas, you’ll need to preheat your oven to 350°F.
After putting the muffin tin in the oven, set a timer for 20 minutes. When they’re done cooking, you can store the tiny frittatas in your refrigerator.
If you love the way they taste, go ahead and bake up a few batches! That way you can store the extra batches in the freezer. Now, whenever you need a fast snack, you’ll have a tiny keto-friendly frittata to save the day.
